Mission Statement:  California Delta Water Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to “on the water” classrooms, providing quality programs that educate students of all ages on: the history and ecology of the San Francisco Bay and Delta; the California water-shed & the purpose of protecting this important fragile eco-system.

The California Delta Water Education, a non-profit group, provides a hands-on watershed program using their vessel, "The Island Serenade", and the Delta as a medium and classroom.  This platform helped Partners for the Watershed create the curriculum for Delta Waters Education Tours. 

The California Delta Water Education program is an opportunity to educate students on: the history of the Delta; the geography of the Delta within the California water system; what a watershed is; perform water quality testing; sample and inspect species and understand their role in the food chain; learn about native and non-native species and plants; and learn about the human impact on the environment (pollution, trash, etc).  Each activity station teaches the students the value and importance of the environment.
